Driving daily through this intersection, option 1 would solve several problems by keeping bike path on south side through intersection and adding an approx 500 ft turn lane onto 395.

I think moving the bike path to the south side is a bad idea because:
1. Motorists will have to stop and wait for pedestrians on both the east and west sides of 30a/395 intersection. During peak season, this will be slower than what we currently have.

2. Pedestrians will have to cross 30a twice to get through the intersection. This could get dangerous.

I say keep the pedestrian path where it is. Adding a right turn lane onto 395 is cool. And with a light there, it will be safer and faster for everybody.

But as long as we're dreaming, how about elevating the north side pedestrian path so it goes up over 395 instead of what's in these 3 plans? Motorists don't have to stop for pedestrians. Pedestrians don't have to worry about getting hit in the intersection. Everybody wins. :)

The right turn lane was proposed by Cindy Meadows awhile back. I thought it was already approved. I was actually expecting it to be dome by now.

In my opinion, not having the bike path on the south side is madness. But apparently some of the people who live on that side have political pull.

Bike path on south side with a right turn lane turning north onto 395 makes perfect sense.

Only if they are crossing 30A. Most everyone biking and walking would keep flowing on the south side.

1) Bike path needs to be on the south side of 30a and separated from the roadway.
2) Not sure what adding paint or landscape medians accomplishes besides making the roadway wider.
3) Definitely need a right turn lane.
4) Where are the people using the beach access supposed to park?
