We went out for pizza around 6:30 tonight, and traffic for the Mid-Bay Bridge was stop and go all the way to the Meigs bridge over Rocky Bayou. It's probably safe to assume that 331 had a similar traffic load.

So with that kind of crowd in town, please y'all have patience because things are going to be moving a bit slower because of all the people in town.

That's right. Be extra courteous to pedestrians -- stop and let them cross -- it'll only cost you a few seconds. Same with traffic -- for example, if someone driving the opposite direction is trying to turn left, wave them on -- it'll only cost you a few seconds, and it saves the vehicles behind them much more time if no one else lets them turn.

And don't get impatient and take shortcuts through E. Grove Avenue.

Be patient. Be grateful. You are lucky enough to be in paradise.

Sowal
Heavy traffic in Sowal, so I am taking the bike, walking, carpooling, or staying home.

Reminder to folks tearing down the unpaved side roads to avoid traffic - not only are those roads full of families and little kids walking to/from the beach and older people walking dogs, but other cars may be coming the other way also trying to avoid traffic.

There have already been several close calls on my road. You're welcome to cut through, but there is NO need to put the accelerator through the floor and endanger people.
