Why did the beach cameras stop playback? Too much data for the server?

The live camera works for me. It’s the play back of past days that’s not working for me.
Playback? Didn't know that was ever a thing.
On BeachCam live image there is an arrow to the left of live view. Tap on the arrow and dates will appear. Click on one and you will see time lapse of the past day. Very interesting watching clouds throughout the day.
