Beach service

We are new to SOWAL. Is there beach chair services on the beach during the summer months? Anyone have contact info? Our closest access is near Tom Thumb and Cafe Thirty-A.

I run The Beach Chair Company but serve the Camp Creek and Redfish Lake areas.

For the Tom Thumb public beach access you should call Chip at Beach Chairs 4 U : 850-231-4448 They service that stretch of beach.

You can call them and tell them to reserve a set for you but your best bet is to just get down there and sit in a set that doesn't have a reserve tag with a name on them. They set up extra sets for this very reason. Somebody will be by during the day and you can work out your rental needs at that point.

They have the blue and yellow chairs and umbies.

Hi Paula, the cost is constant throughout the season but becomes more negotiable as the season comes to a close in late October/November. As there are multiple companies along 30A costs can range from $80-$150 a week but most are in the $80-$100 range. We usually define a week as 6 days (Sun-Fri) as most folks travel on Saturday. Multiple week costs are based on the same weekly rate multiplied but you can usually get a discount if you just ask.

I don't have a website and do not know if I will create one. The beach ordinances are really going to be tightened this season which means it will make it much harder for us to deliver single rentals or "home deliveries." And advertising via web site or any other means usually generates only those type rentals.

As I am a brand new operator I have just a couple of small beach areas in the Camp Creek/Seacrest and Redfish Lake beach areas. If you're in those areas I'll be more than happy to help with your rental needs. thebeachchaircompany@gmail.com or 850-200-3595
