Beach Walking

Hi, we are seniors who would like to spend the summer along the Miramar Beach area and exercise walk.

We have noticed that the wet sand area is at a rather steep angle for easy walking. Silly questions...is this the normal beach terrain angle or does it level out through the summer?

This is a beautiful area.

Hello and glad you're here enjoying our beaches. The angle of the sand changes daily, depending on the surf conditions, the tide, the winds, the weather, etc. If it was steep yesterday, it may be flat today - you never know - just like the weather. Enjoy...

Marla is right. You just never can predict what it'll be like. Our daughter (in her twenties) has back problems and can't walk on the beach when the sand angle is steep. So it's not just an age thing.
