Hello-I need some help. My fiance and I live out of town and plan to get married Nov 3rd in the area. The wedding part is easy, but we are having a hard time with reception ideas. I really want to rent a home since we need a place to stay for a week. This will cut the cost of having the reception somewhere else. The wedding is very small and the reception will be mainly a dinner, no dj or drinking. The problem is finding a nice home that will rent to us for a reception. Most of the rental companies say NO!! We found one, but it was 2800 for the week, we will book it, but we would rather go a bit cheaper. If anyone can help us with this, I would appreciate it :) Also, if anyone has any other ideas, that would be great too. I need all the help I can get at this point. My eyes hurt from looking at all the houses in the area online :sosad:

Chauv,

Hey, I am not sure exactly what your requirments are, but please check out our space at Weatherall Fine Art. We have a suite upstairs that is available for rent and the art gallery below is available for weddings, receptions, private parties, etc. If you are interested and can give us some more details as to how many are in the party, etc. we might be able to help you. Please review our website at the links below.

Thanks,

Curtis Weatherall

I'm just thinking... for a place with room for a reception for 50 will probably be close to the price you were quoted. I have a friend with a place on the beach at Seagrove and Grayton. I could ask her. November is off season so things are a little cheaper.

Seated dinner, or heavily tray passed dinner?

we found a catering company, it won't be a seated dinner. We really just wanted to find a house to have people over to eat and hang out. Just finding a house that will allow you to have people over is hard. IF we can't find a house, we are looking for a place, but dont want to spend a fortune on a recption location since we need to find a place to stay for the week also.
