Checking in Seagrove Beach 7/16?

I have a fastpitch softball team, from Missouri, with 15 families coming to Seagrove Beach this Saturday 7/16. We are staying at Beachwood Villas 3723 C-30A condos in Seagrove Beach. Please share conditions in that area, if you know anything?

Thank you!!!!

Welcome,

"I have a fastpitch softball team, from Missouri"

I'm not too sure about the condition of your place but I'm sure the locals would love to have yall help out when you're down. I'm sure you guys could really fling some of that debris off the beach. Hope the trip turns out well. I'm sure it will.

We own a condo in there as well. As soon as I hear from my Property Mgmt folks I'll post. We got thru Ivan unscathed. Hopefully, Dennis didn't menace us too much!

Let you know asap!

Re: Checking in Seagrove Beach 7/16?

I guess I appreciate the sarcasm?

I do feel for the folks living in the path of this and any hurricane. Real news is a bit sketchy and living in Middle America makes it tough. We have multiple families coming down on 7/16 and I, as team manager, feel like I owe it to those families to get as much information as I can, ASAP.

All help is greatly appreciated!

Again, I am looking for any news on the condition of the condos, road access, and beach area for Beachwood Villas in Seagrove Beach, FL.

Thank you much!

Steve

That wasn't sarcasm. The beach will be covered with all kinds of debris when you arrive. I hope your trip goes well.

Actually, there isn't a whole lot of debris on the beaches. There aren't any shells either. It seems that the wind and waves came in at an angle that carried everything west instead of pushing it onto the dunes. Our beach walkovers may be in Alabama by now.

The area is looks great. You will enjoy your stay in Seagrove. The direct beach access from Beachwood Villas is gone, but there are other places to access the beach--Grayton, Lakewood Area of Seagrove, Inlet Beach.

Well that's good news. I figured those West of us would get our junk and we'd get the stuff from the east.

I checked out another BWV unit today for someone else. No problems. No damage to the rest of the complex that I saw.

The beaches are severely eroded and there are no beach walkovers left that I know of. Consider them completely inaccessible for the time being.

Can anyone check the Beachwood Villas Complex for the Troy Xtreme Fastpitch Softball Team from Troy, Missouri? www.xtremefastpitch.com/14u

These girls have been working all year to qualify and play in Nationals at Panama City Beach. We have heard the tournament will go on, but are worried about our rooms at Beachwood Villas. The entire team is staying there.

I would love to get a first hand account (even pictures?) of building damage, swimming pool condition, and possible beach access. No detail too small.

Any hints at things to do or see would be nice too, if we make it there this weekend. Restaurant suggestions??

Thanks so much for folks replying to this thread and the previous one.

Thank you,

Steve Williams
