BR, food poisoning is more likely to occur from improperly cooked or improperly handled food, unless we are talking about eating raw shellfish.

This was shrimp. I am very OCD about the way I handle food (that's why I have one sink for prepping everything but meat/seafood, another for prepping meat/seafood, and another for dirty dishes), so it wasn't due to any mishandling on my part. People tease me all the time about being so OCD about food prep.

If you cooked it the proper length of time, and held it at the proper temp up until the time you ate it, as well as handled it properly, you would have killed all the cooties and not have been sick. Holding temp is critical. I've had food poisoning from eating shellfish more times than I care to mention, each from eating it at temps which are inviting to the cooties.

I think I did, but I don't have any scientific evidence to prove that to be true.:dunno: Thanks for the advice.

Don't go on Friday's to shrimpers. Gordo eats it all, even uses the ice they chill the seafood in to cool his pitcher of mad dog 20/20 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
