Mark Eric Anton, age 54, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away July 21, 2023. He was born on August 12, 1968, in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Eric was a talented and awarded chef and co-owner of Borago Restaurant, where he used his passion for food to bring joy to people. Growing up in a military family, Eric traveled the world, developing a deep appreciation for the unique flavors of different cultures. He also had immense culinary influences from Lansdowne, Virginia, Tortola BVI, Charleston, South Carolina, and Birmingham, Alabama, where he lived for many years. Eric had a special love for the arts and supported many local artisans and craftsmen. In his spare time, Eric was a classic car and truck enthusiast, enjoyed music, and could often be found at the local farmer’s market or reading the latest cookbook. He was also known for his infinite love for people and his continual travel and exploration to perfect his craft.
