I live in SoWal but am going to Newton this summer from June 16 through August 5th. This is probably a long shot on this board but I thought maybe someone might know someone who has a place for me, my baby, my husband and maybe even my dog. I would consider a trade if there was anyone who wanted to stay in SoWal for that long in my 3 BR house.

Hey, CJ, just being nosy--what are you going to be doing there for the summer? Sigh...I envy you, I love it out there. Good luck finding something!

I am getting certified to teach Montessori. I am very excited about it and the New England Center is one of the best.

Check out Craig's List...I feel like they would have a lot of Boston listings.

Good idea Kimmi. Think Brookline, Newton, Wellesley, maybe even Natick. Anything along Route 9. We lived in Wellesley for almost a year. Beautiful but cold. Love Newton and Brookline too. Brookline probably has some apartments, but you might get lucky and find yourself a housesitting job. Think about putting an ad in the Wellesley Townsman or maybe whatever the Newton paper is. There are a ton of old money folks in the area -- maybe some with carriage houses that you could stay in while keeping an eye on the place? Hey you can dream right?

Our son went to Montessory School. I can remember my husband and I looking at each other in amazement when our 1 1/2 yr old son (who is 34 now) told us that a "lips" was an egg shape. What a great start he had. He's now a lawyer! Well, some people think that's good! :rotfl:

That's great! Good for you!

How cool is that! One of the best vacations I ever took (pre-Florida) was to Boston. We (myself and my two best friends)stayed with a friend in Newton. He worked out of his home and so every morning, he would give us the keys to his Suburban and send us on our way for an adventure. We went into Boston, to Rhode Island, to Maine, to Martha's Vineyard, and all places in between. We loved it...and we had a blast! I have some great stories from that trip. And some great memories! Best of luck to you and I know you'll have a great summer!! :clap_1:
