Anybody gotten the webcam at the rooftop bar at Bud and Alley's to work properly? I've downloaded the software and changed security settings, but still no go (unless I click the "server push" or somesuch, then I get an exterior shot with some text).

We have been trying to get it working properly for 3 weeks and hope to have it up an working properly tomorrow (Thurs). Please bear with us. It will be showing a 360 degree view of the beach and bud and alley's. Thanks for your patience.

I hope I am reading that wrong, because I am not going to frequent any business that installs cameras so people can watch me via the internet.

How creepy and invasive!

I bet you've been on the Grayton Beach cam and didn't even know it, scooterbug. In fact, I know you've been on there. WaterColor used to have web cams everywhere, even their pool deck.

Who says they took them down? ;-)

Not me. They just aren't found so easily on the WC website anymore, if they are still on there.

I thought of the Grayton beach cam just after I posted - doesn't make it any more okay if my life is being recorded and broadcast to the world, but I don't realize it!

The beachcams don't really bother me, as they don't really show a lot of detail etc. but now when I go to the beach I have to remember to avoid them. :sosad:

Why are we all so okay with our lives being constantly recorded and broadcasted to strangers without our knowledge or consent? :dunno: I think the cell phone pics, youTUbe videos, Myscape pics etc. are all WAY out of hand.

Guess I'm just old fashioned - I think that if you want to take pictures or video of me, you should ask first and you most definitely need to have my permission to post them on the internet for posterity and public consumption.

I'm not okay with it, either, but stopping it is the equivalent of jumping in front of a fast-moving freight-train. I'm still waiting for someone to catch their better half cheating on them at a bar, while watching from home on their computer. Even worse, someone not cheating, but being accused of cheating, just because they were socializing at a watering hole.

It would be doing you a favor if it helped you get out of that kind of relationship!
