I am happy to report that the Busy Bee Cafe in DeFuniak Springs is up and running, and it is wonderful!

We've eaten there three times in the last two weeks and love it. A couple of our favorites were the fried green tomato BLT, Pulled pork as a sandwich or loaded on top of a baked potato, and hot ham & cheese po'boy. Most menu items are under $5 and come with a side of either fries, onion rings (great), potato salad or cole slaw. The staff is small but very friendly and fast.

So if you live in Walton County or if you're travelling through DeFuniak Springs on your way to or from the beach, give them a try for lunch. The Busy Bee is located downtown on 7th street. From 331 you would head east on Hwy. 90, turn right (south) on 7th street, and the Busy Bee is on the left.

Monday - Friday
10:30 - 2
Our server said they would open for dinner sometime soon with a dinner menu.

I'm guessing they don't use nacho cheese sause on their ham and cheese poboy? :D I want some fried green maters.

I miss the real deal. Maybe we can join you sometime.

I would be honored. We need to have you guys up to D-town anyway. We haven't had a gathering in our home since X-mas '05.

Just say "no" to nacho cheese in a can, especially on your breakfast eggs. :nono1:
