CAA's Bayou Arts Center hosts weekly workshops including watercolor, sketch, sculpture, mixed media and much more.
Jacqueline Ward | Photography Series
We start our much-requested series on Fundamentals of Photography series with Jacqueline Ward a well known professional photographer and instructor at NWFS college.
The first session will include how to understand and use your camera to its fullest extent. Each participant should bring their cameras from point and shoot to SLR along with various lens and whatever else they take photos with. This is a pre requisite for the rest of the series. The series of classes will be presented as an individual session with each priced separately, allowing the participant to complete the series or take those that are of significant interest.
We will advance in the future sessions by learning how to obtain the best composition with your camera, understanding and utilizing appropriate lighting, how to photograph your Art and how to catalog and retrieve your pictures. Jacqueline Ward with also offer Photoshop workshops after this series.
First Session is:
Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 9am to Noon at CAA. Price is $30 members and $35 for non members.
Sessions to follow on: Thursday, October 30, 9 am-12 noon, November 6 and 13 from 9 am-12 noon, December 4 and 11, 9 am-12 noon.

Dolly Vari | Water Color & Mixed Media
Tuesday ,November 11 – 1-4pm Dolly Vari, a watercolor artist, and a variety of mixed media, will be teaching a class on Zentangl. Anyone can “Zentangle” if they can hold a pen. Create your own designs with a sharpie and gel pens, colored pencils and stamped designs.
