Hi,
My husband, 15 year old son and I are driving from Michigan to the area for spring break. 2 choices narrowed down on where to stay. A cottage in "the great escape" at cottages of Campcreek, 3 brdrm. 2 bath, no view or a townhouse on beachside, Blue Tide, 2 brdrm. 3 bath, view. Has anyone stayed in either place and which one is nicer. They are basically the same price. I heard the townhomes may be a bit older. No grill except at pool area. Would appreciate any input. It all depends on what you want. Beach front view at Blue Tide is gorgeous. It also depends on which one you rent, some are better than others. VBRO has one that looks good in the photos. (#30536) It's convenient to the beach, has a nice pool, and a great view. It is older than the cottages. The cottages are definately newer and very nice, and look like they are single story. VBRO is a good site to see what they are. #52349 looks good. Come and have fun!:D

My family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed in a 2BR at Blue Tide during Spring Break 2007. Our unit was absolutely beautiful. The elevation makes for a fantastic breeze and the sunsets were fabulous. We did not use the pool (too chilly) or grill. Be prepared for lots of steep steps down to the sand - I think this is common in Seacrest - but the view and breeze are worth the walk.

Hope you have a nice trip wherever you stay!

Blue Tide is gulf front with an outstanding view. I have friends that have a place there and it is great. Many of the units have been updated as well. The clear choice for me would be Blue Tide.
