There's lots to see and do at Camp Helen State Park this Spring! Take a stroll on the new fishing pier, paddle on Lake Powell, and make a plan to join them at their special events.
Camp Helen State Park is located at 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway, just west of the Phillips Inlet Bridge on the Bay County and Walton County line.

Fishing equipment rentals will begin on April 1 as an addition to their Kayak and SUP rentals -- NOW OPEN 7 days a week from 9AM - 5PM. Walk-ins are also welcome before 3:30pm. Reservations can be made online at friendsofcamphelen.org or by calling (850) 238-1900.

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
When: Saturday, April 8, 2023
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Friends of Camp Helen State Park invite you to their annual Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. Scheduled for Saturday, April 8th, guests are encouraged to visit the park anytime between 10AM - 2PM, pay $4 park admission, ask volunteers for an egg hunt card, and enjoy a color-coded hunt that encourages kids to explore and learn about the park at their own leisure.
The scavenger hunt will have 3 different age groups: 0-3, 4-6, and 7-12. After finding an egg of each color, children can turn them in for a special prize.
Fundraiser Concert: An Evening with The Currys
When: Saturday, April 29, 2023
Time: 7:00 pm
Friends of Camp Helen State Park will host their annual fundraiser concert featuring The Currys at Camp Helen State Park on Saturday, April 29 at 7PM.
Tickets are available directly on the Friends of Camp Helen website for $50: friendsofcamphelen.org. The ticket price will cover park admission, dinner, and drinks.
All proceeds benefit the Friends of Camp Helen State Park.
Camp Helen State Park is bordered on three sides by the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida. Activities include swimming, beachcombing, nature study, hiking, and both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
