The Northwest Florida Astronomy Association hosts Stargazing on the Lawn from 6:30PM - 9PM on Friday, September 15th at Eden Gardens State Park. Meet between the historic Wesley House and fountain. The event is FREE and open to the public with a park entry fee of $4 per vehicle. View Event Essential Eligibility Criteria.
Normal celestial gazing includes bright galaxies, star clusters and planets. Event is weather permitting. Guests are encouraged to bring their own telescopes, wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring bug repellent. If you bring a flashlight, use a red filter to minimize the effect on night vision.
