We’re here for 4 days so far and unfortunately the food from top rated places has been underwhelming. We’ve tried George's, the perfect pig and Seagrove market cafe. The pig had a good breakfast, but the others were mid in my opinion. Worried that we won’t be too excited about food then if some of the top rated spots are just ok. Holding out hope for Cafe 30A and Bud & Alley's.

Locals love Chanticleer in Grayton, Louis Louis, Cafe Tango, The Bay is always good and a real beach bar! Shunk Gulley is pretty good (for a tourist trap) and always loved Borago and Basmati's.

30A ain't the secret spot it used to be. Remember those tiny restaurants, serving up amazing local food? There ar eonly a couple left ... Now it's all about cranking out fancy meals for the tourist crowds. I've been around the panhandle for 30 years, seen the whole thing change. Just sayin', not complaining.

Even the celebs are ditching it. Luke Bryan and others? They're gone. 30A's lost that 'getaway' vibe. And it's not just the rich folks visiting anymore; it's everyone.

Take the Red Bar, for example. It was this cool, quirky dive, right? Then 30A blew up, the original burned, and... well, the new place? It's just not the same. Looks the same sorta but clean not funky. That's 30A in a nutshell: a total transformation.

Pazzo and Mimmos' are good Italian but kinda fancy we like Borago better - Amici's ... the pizza is good everything else is like Olive Garden which people like but meh. Angelina's is awesome. They show the love and are real people.

And Mimmo - turn your sign light down it's blinding! You only need a few of those bulbs on there!

Oku in Alys does not fit into the beach theme, and is an excellent meal. We were really impressed. The prices seem steep, but pretty comparable to other places around here.
