Has the Sara lost her mind about nominating Cecilia for the TDC chair? Does she forget that the TDC attorney Clay Adkinson's firm brought suit against Commissioner Jones for keeping someone's inheritance money or something like that. Now she will be over him, no conflict there.... How in the world will they have a healthy relationship with the counties business???? Why does the BCC insist on establishing and embracing conflicts when clearly their are other choices available. This was about a power grab by Mrs. Jones and the SBA, there is no tourism in Jones district to speak of. Paxton is not a tourist destination. Clearly the best choices would have been either Cindy or Sara as 99% of TDC dollars are generated in their districts. Once again underlying agenda's drive the train, not the best interests of the citizens. I know the commissioners read this, all I can say is WTF. :cuss:

The late Laverne Comacho 's son Michael Camacho was the beneficiary of the $750,000 account which he claimed Jones had not paid him under the terms of the will his mother signed before she died.
Jones claimed that someone leaked the lawsuit to the media before she was even served the papers in an attempted smear campaign but the lawsuit contained no allegations of impropriety by Jones as a sitting Commissioner.

The Adkinson law firm was the Attorney of record for Ms. Camacho's estate.

IRONICALLY, every judge in this county recused themselves from that suit and it was transferred to Santa Rosa County. The lawsuit, Case No. 12CA 660, was filed by Steven B. Bauman, of Anchors Smith Grimsley law firm of Fort Walton Beach.

A public records search yielded no results for that case.

Amazing what can disappear when your best friend is the state attorney huh?
