Anyone else going to the Classic Car Show at Frank Brown Park today?

I went last night to the final First Friday Fest for the year, downtown Panama City.

They had a good number of the cars through out the main street, and in the parking lot of the Marina Civic Center.

I can't wait to get out this morning and get some great shots today. I LOVE classic cars.

I didn't get pics last night, but here are samples of similar cars like I saw last night....
I love this stuff!

 Hey Buddy!

I hope to make it out there, maybe I'll see ya!

I so would have loved to put my beloved Ghia out there, but we're having some trouble with it right now, and I'm afraid we'd end up breaking down halfway.

I'll satisfy my urge to show her off with a picture posted here:

run home and watch

These are the actual cars from the movie "American Graffitti". There were two actors there as well. Last night they had a 35th anniversary "Drive-in" style showing of the movie. I didn't get to go, but I bet it was a great time. Anyone else partake in any of this. Out-of-the-box....Anyone?

We used to have a Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser version of the Buick station wagon with the skylight! Oh, the memories!

Really? OMG, I remember a car like that. I am such a car ho.

Here is a 1967. Is this close? Of course I don't know how you could remember this, you weren't born for another 10-15 years yet....

You're too kind, but yes, I had been around a while, already, by the time 1967 rolled around! I'm older than I look. I googled "oldsmobile vista cruiser" and scored a hit on our exact model right down to the color right on the first page of results! My sister and I used to ride in the back with the window down facing each other. There was also a small seat back there that folded up to face rearward. With the window down you'd get kinda woozy from the exhaust! Just think...if a parent let their kid ride in a car like that today, they'd go to jail.
Yet, one more thing I survived that today's generation will never experience!
