Hi there! CBA and Walton County are kicking off Coastal Dune Lakes Week by inviting you to a paddle clean-up on Western Lake. We will meet at the boat ramp inside Grayton Beach State Park. The event is free, but park entrance fee will apply. More details in the flyer.

Come join us and do your part to take care of our rare coastal dune lakes!

Exciting News, Walton County!

The Walton County Board of County Commissioners has officially declared October 13-19, 2024, as Coastal Dune Lakes Week!

Did you know that Walton County is home to 15 incredible coastal dune lakes along our stunning 26-mile coastline? These unique geographical features are globally rare and play a crucial role in our ecosystem. With their intermittent connection to the Gulf of Mexico, they provide vital habitats for fish and wildlife, making them essential to our local environment and economy.

To celebrate and educate everyone about these beautiful lakes, the Walton County Coastal Dune Lake Advisory Board will be hosting a series of exciting activities throughout the week!
