Mike Gutierrez Mike Gutierrez is one of the foremost sports autograph authenticators in the sports memorabilia business. He has over 27 years experience and is one of the few universally respected authorities left standing in a field racked with fraud and forgeries. The industry has been plagued by FBI investigations of fraud and Mike is one of the most respected repositories of trust in the business. He currently is an autograph authentication consultant for PSA/DNA, the leader in sports grading and authentication.

Most notably, he authenticated all the autograph material from the Barry Halper Collection sold by Sotheby's in 1998. Through Butterfield & Butterfield, he appraised the Mark McGwire 70th home run baseball for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company that sold in auction for $3 million. Additionally, he compiled the auction of all memorabilia from the Bruce Lee estate and appraised former NFL commissioner, Pete Rozelle's estate. Mike also has the distinction of appraising Muhammad Ali's estate of sports memorabilia and portions of Baseball Hall of Famer, Sandy Koufax.

His working background as a young adult started in the entertainment field at CBS Television City, working on scores of television sitcoms, variety shows, and specials. From there he moved to Universal Studios where he became a television development executive in charge of prime time series. At ABC TV, he worked as an executive in Dramatic Series Development, meeting with writers and producers, developing new series ideas. He adds Hollywood and Entertainment memorabilia as areas of great interest and expertise.

With a lifetime passion for music, he began playing guitar in his teens. He has a fine collection of Fender, Rickenbacker, Gibson, and other noted brands of guitars and basses, thus his interest in vintage and stage-used rock 'n' roll memorabilia and guitars.

Currently Mike is working as a Consignment Director for Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas, Texas, bringing all of his expertise under one roof. Mike has participated as an appraiser on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW specializing in sports and collectibles.

Thanks for all the help.

Not much sentimental value, I'm not very fond of my dad or uncle. It'll probably go to my niece when she's old enough to care for it and appreciate it. It definitely wasn't stamped and I do believe it has the managers signature as well.
