We have Shorty's on our 'short' list We stuck our head in the last time we were there. Pleasantly surprised by the interior. (We loved the open deck at D&K's and weren't drawn to the new, dark interior - there's only one Red Bar.)

Sorry about hijacking your post, but a few more things then I must go....
We haven't been to Stinky's yet. On the list.
Haven't sat at the indoor bar at Bud & Alley's.
Will return to Shades to watch a football game.
Love Broken Egg. We have a 2 store restaurant 'chain' called Wild Eggs here in Louisville that is a similar concept. Cravable eggs benedict - corn cakes, calamity sauce, chorizo sausage, grits of the day on the side with a sweet/savory muffin. Yum.
Red Bar.
We try to go to new places each time but of course return to old favs. D&Ks will become a new fav, I'm sure.
Like the beach view from the Santa Rosa Beach Club.

Family has gone home. Undoing the lovely Xmas. Now packing. We might take a nap before heading down (will definitely pull into a rest area or two along the way).
We love the journey. We head all the way down 65 to Pensicola, then work our way east, staying by the beach as much as allowed. (We have put a blanket on the beach in the early morning and slept.) Then we get to the 30A area for lunch etc as we await check-in.
Going home we do the reverse. Hate to pull away from the beach and head directly north. It takes longer but it is so lovely to have beach views alittle while longer.
We'll be wearing UofL stuff alot, so say hi and we'll buy you a Woodford Reserve at Bud & Alleys.
Counting the hours.
