I am not sure how much press the Military Working Dog Memorial is getting in SoWal, but I wanted to let everyone know about a very special fundraiser that I am helping with.

We are working to build a memorial in honor of military working dogs, their handler, trainers and veterinary staff from ALL BRANCHES of Service - past and present.

Regardless of our thoughts on the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan; we still need to support our troops.

This memorial will serve to honor a group of people thats service goes widely undisclosed. They are often called the Unsung Heroes.

On a local note, they respond to threats within the communities of Okaloosa & Walton Counties.

I would love to go into detail about why it is so important, but I dont want to take up that much space.

WE ARE SELLING COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS THAT WILL BE PLACED AROUND THE BASE OF THE MEMORIAL (A LIFE SIZE BRONZE GERMAN SHEPHERD ON A GRANITE BASE). www.bricksrus.com/order/mwdmemorial

These can be purchased by ANYONE that would like to show support or IN HONOR OF or IN MEMORY OF a special person, fallen hero, or pet.

We are also inviting business and organizations to participate and show their support.

This memorial will be located at the Air Armament Museum near Eglin Air Force Base, in Okaloosa county -which proudly welcomes their Walton County neighbors!! It has full public access.

We would love to get as many people involved as possible.

My husband is the K9 Trainer at Eglin; we live in Walton county now and just adopted his retired Military Working Dog Jacco.
