What is Communities for a Lifetime?
Communities for a Lifetime (CFAL) is a statewide program initiated by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. It aims to create a safe and nurturing place for people of all ages, especially older adults. CFAL helps cities, towns and counties improve the lives of all residents. The process involves continuous assessment and improvement. One of its goals is sustaining a spirit of community

"Walton Life", a 16 page insert in the Herald/Beach Breeze is schedule for release on Jan. 6, 2010. Walton Life is going into it's second year with a focus on a new mover and shaker organization, Community Walton Incorporated. Headed by Jane Burns, Community Walton has been successful with their "check the box" initiative. Also, they are determined to bring the Florida 2-1-1 system to Walton County.
