Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
We recently had someone cancel for the week of July 7th, so I'll offer our cottage -- Key Lime at the Cottages at Camp Creek -- to someone for $1000/week. Key Lime was built in 2003, 3 bedroom/2 bath, near the big pool, across the street from the beach. It's fresh, very well equipped (including beach chairs, pool floaters, and other beach things -- we have plenty of games/puzzles/books/movies for all ages, too) and very well and comfortably furnished. The big porch is very well furnished, too, with a table for 4 and a gliding loveseat with matching chair. The Cottages at Camp Creek is a wonderful small family-friendly community in Seacrest Beach.

Here's the link: http://www.vrbo.com/33828.

If you're interested, please contact Beach Rentals of South Walton at 888-541-0801 and they'll take care of you. Just let them know I offered you the cottage for that week for $1000. Cleaning fees are included in that rate and there's a $25 booking fee and the standard 11% tax that all rentals must charge. You can also email me if you have questions or want to know more about the cottage (including comments from the cottage guest book). I'm happy to answer any of your questions.

That's a nice cottage Paula. I don't remember seeing Cottages at Camp Creek, and am just very curious about where it is. We have been staying in Seagrove for ten years, and I thought I pretty much knew 30-A like the back of my hand. Please educate me. Thanks!

Hi Rebecca:

I remember your family well -- I was so honored to have your family stay at our cottages for your son's wedding. He must have had a one year wedding anniversary this month. I checked the calendar for our cottage and someone booked the cottage either yesterday or today, so I sure hope it was your family! I also sent you a private message.

Warm Regards.

Hi ThirtyAGal: Thanks for your kind words, of course. Cottages at Camp Creek is in Seacrest Beach, just a little over a mile west from Rosemary Beach. It's a small community (built around 2003/04) of about 25 one story 3 bedroom/2 bath pastel colored Florida cottages with large porches, and about 6 larger (2-3 story) cottages in the front of the community and in the back. There's a really big pool in the middle. The landscaping is native rather than manicured, which we really like because we feel like our porches are nestled into the native trees and plants. It's across the street from a quiet beach. Most people aren't aware of the community because it sits a bit back from the road and we just put a white and green sign up that says "Cottages at Camp Creek" this year. It's right in front of Camp Creek Golf Course. Email me in August when we're going to be there and I'll give you a tour!
