Hi everyone,

Here is the agenda for the County Commission meeting on February 26, 2013 starting at 9AM at the courthouse in DeFuniak Springs. The items in blue are of particular interest south of the Bay. You will see some explanatory SWCC notes with some of the items.

Also, you may recall there was a county staff proposal several months ago for a land use change amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for the Light Industrial land use. Currently Light Industrial uses are restricted to "major collector and arterial roadways with immediate access to the regional roadway network." The proposed amendment was to remove the geographical location requirements for the Light Industrial land uses and allow light industrial uses in other areas where deemed compatible under compatibility standards to be developed. That item is on the agenda as LSA 12-01.04. I have now been informed that the proposed land use change amendment has been withdrawn. The withdrawal of the land use change amendment will also impact the requests for a land use change from Conservation Residential 2:1 Future Land Use Category to Light Industrial Future Land Use Category, or a lesser intense category. (SSA 2012-11 & 12 below)
