Have Kurt do a virtual tour and list on his websites. This will give you the best return for the money.

Kurts pictures are the absolute best. :clap_1:

We had Kurt do an updated virtual tour and list our Grayton Beach home on his Web site, in addition to the advertising done by our rental firm. It seemed to make a big difference. Since doing this, we have been fully booked a year in advance (or more) for spring, summer, and holidays. Kurt has also been a wonderful resource for us during times of storms, our eyes and ears on the scene. (In combo with our own Smilin' Joe, that is!)

Hey Donna.....how do you handle the rentals that come to you through the web? Do you refer them to your rental company, or do you handle these completely on your own? Do the renters send you a deposit check, or do you have it set up so they can use credit card? :dunno:

It sure would be great to eventually be able to get away from our rental company...seems like they're always screwing up one thing or another!

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
You can also post your property on Vacation Rental by Owner (or other online vacation rental sites), with a link to your virtual tour and the WaterColor Rental office. You can also post up to about 9 photos I believe. Hope this is helpful.

Kurt's site refers them to Rivard and so do we. This is consistent with our rental/management agreement with Rivard and also simpler for us. Then I give Rivard a "heads up" that the interested party is to contact them, just to make sure they keep them focused on our house as their rental. I have been advised that Grayton houses will rent for the summer with or without a rental company. However, I cannot imagine trying to deal with this at such a distance. Also, I don't want the bother of calling the plumber if a toilet is stopped up, etc. We have accepted that one must have a manager to own rental property, in general, even when we live fairly closeby.
