it's a bummer this is fine dining to me,

we needed an open air place w/ oysters & fish baskets
not shrimp bur blanc whatever

We did go to D&K and it was very good. The decor is beautiful and the location across from the water is excellent. We were seated in a cozy nook that had beautiful paintings and trim work. Donna personally came and introduced herself and welcomed us. The bread was amazing with a crusty exterior and soft interior. We got the shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer and it was very flavorul and was not greasy somehow. The steaks were a little fatty but had excellent garnishings.

It really helps that the owners have worked hard at creating this location and take pains to make sure the experience goes well. Go and check out this unique place and take someone special with you. Or just sit at the bar and enjoy the place....

We had are Coldwell christmas party here! It was amazing! The food was excellent and the decor is breathtaking. I must say I was one of the first to be a little timid about the the changes but they went above and beyond my expectations!!!!!! :clap_1: Do not miss the all new D&K's!!!! A real dining experiance!

I especially look forward to the week after Christmas when so many of you will be dining with us!!!! It is so cool to meet someone I've read posts from and posted back to.:clap_1:

Please keep Doug and our family in your prayers as we go to see his Dad today, which will probably be the last visit with him. He is not expected to live through Christmas. But he has such a strong will who knows!!! Last night he had another terrible night and is not able to breathe. They have taken the part off his defibrillator that shocks your heart when it stops. And, he has said he wants to go on. This has been a rather hard month for our family trying to get the Cafe back open and dealing with this. Doug has held up incredibly.

Again we want to thank you for your support and kind words. And, for me I especially thank those who took part in the Christmas post contest. It was such a lifter of spirits and gave me a break from everything else. I look forward to spoiling the winners!!!!
