Thanks to many of you who provided creative and intriguing suggestions about the painting of Conch Out. We have reached a decision that promises fun for many. Your feedback was fun for us and gave us ideas we might not have considered otherwise. The big day for the boom to go up is April 22nd and a few short weeks later, Miss Conch Out will have a much needed and deserved face-lift and...have her colors done, as they say in the fashion biz!

Winning suggestions to be announced soon. In the meantime, a virtual menu:

Gulf Shrimp "Martini" Cocktail, paired with a Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc

Poached Salmon Filet served over Puree of Potatoes with Chopped Lobster
Tail, with Demi Glace finish, paired with a Sanford Pinot Noir

Intermezzo Salad of Mache with Thinly-sliced Blood Oranges and Shavings of Manchego Cheese, paired with a Nickel & Nickel Ponzu Vineyard Zinfandel.

Red Plum Torte with Brandy Spiced Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, paired with a Far Niente Dolce.

Double Espressos, Petit Fours and Bittersweet Chocolate Truffles paired with a selection of vintage ports.

Yum, yum....have a great weekend, everyone! :clap_1:

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
Donna: What a menu! I wish I had taste for paint colors, but I just have taste for good food.

Have you heard of the slow food movement? Sounds like you'd be perfect for it -- It's pretty much based on using high quality, preferably local foods, cooked slowly and enjoyed slowly with friends/family. I just heard about it from a friend and it sounds perfect for SoWal (and everywhere).
