I love Shades at the Loop, which is at the very, very end... have also heard that there are some great places in Rosemary which I have not yet had a chance to explore...

Love Wild Olive for lunch. Though my husband claims it's a chick food place.

We went to 30A Chops, or is it Chops on 30A, last weekend. Had a lovely meal, though pricey. Hubby had the steak & lobster. I had the kobe hanger steak with avocado bernaise:love:. The meat on the Kobe entree was absolutely delicious. The only downside to that entree is that it served with steak fries, and those seemed to be right out the Ore-ida bag. We will definitely go back since it is in drinking & walking distance. The martinis were very ample for the money. We figured out that if we got the hanger steak and either the diver scallop or the tuna entree, you don't need to order an extra side and can get out of there for about 30% less. Of course, we would share those two entrees and make our own surf and turf. We shared the creme brulee and it was plenty big for two and very, very good.

Onanos' in Rosemary is very good for dinner as is Wild Olive and Cowgirl Kitchen for lunch. If you are only considering east end (anything east of 395) then Cafe 30A has to be on the list for dinner.

Not on 30A, but The Terrace is always good for a nice dinner.

And I still like Summer Kitchen in Rosemary for the "fish of the day" sandwich and the black bean rollup. Their pasta salad accompanies, and is not only a refreshing change from french fries, but it's pretty tasty in its own right.

Try "The Wedge" at Shades. A big hunk of iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing. Mighty tasty.

Just across Lake Powell, Graffiti is serving up some good dinners for prices that compare very favorably, thank you, to the upscale spots like 30A (which is still a dependably high quality dining experience).

After dinner, stop by Courtyard Wine and Cheese in Rosemary.

Is Blue By Night still open (I think that's what it was called)? We loved that place last time we stayed in Seacrest.

Blue by Night(dinner) and The Summer Kitchen(lunch) in Rosemary are one and the same.

Cocoons for carry-out (or eating at one of the outside tables if the weather is nice)! Or Yanni's Seafood Grill.
