Draper Lake bike path bridge now being convered

Who authorized the change to the simple and stunning metal bridge at
Draper Lake - now being covered with a roof?

It takes away the light and shadows and clean lines that were astonishing
to begin with - when you walk Draper Lake bridge you walk in sun and
playful shadows from the lines of the metal span.

suddenly it is being covered and will now take away light and view of Draper
Lake - our sky and the fun of being in the open.

Whose idea was this? And how did it pass?

I have no idea. Maybe it was in the original plan and they're just getting around to it? Maybe it was the suggestion of Draper Lake development?

I heard that the Draper Lake development is covering the bridge. They wanted the bridge to fit in more with their development and are gong for an old fashioned "covered bridge" look. I think they told the county that they would be good guys and "improve" the look of the bridge.
