The last time you walked alone—in the city, your neighborhood, a nature trail or on the beach—Where was your mind at? Did you check your cell phone or listen to music or a podcast? Or maybe you were just lost in thought. Walking meditation is designed to bring body, mind and spirit in sync. It is a great alternative if you don’t like to sit while meditating. A simple but profound practice to train the mind in awareness.
The Emerald Coast Meditation Society is honored to host the Venerable Thich Thanh Dieu Giac, abbott of the Quan Am Nam Hai Monastery in Panama City, Her topic will be, “It’s a Miracle to Walk on this Earth”. Master Tran as she is known by her students and followers will teach and guide us in a silent outdoor sunset walking meditation.
