A TASTE OF ZEN is the Topic of the Emerald Coast Meditation Society’s next in person meeting on January 19th. ECMS is honored to host Zen Master, the Reverend Richard Honin Kolosky as speaker at our in person monthly gathering. The Reverend Kolasky will focus on Zazen (sitting meditation) and Kinhin (walking meditation) in keeping with the Soto Zen tradition of Buddhism. The meeting will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6:30pm -8:00 pm at Christ the King Episcopal church in Santa Rosa Beach. The Church is located at 480 N County Hwy 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459, one half mile north of Hwy 98.
Honin, as he is referred to by his students, came to the Emerald Coast from Boston, Massachusetts where he studied at Boston University. Highlights of his remarkable career include the following:

The Emerald Coast Meditation Society is nonsectarian group of meditators at all levels. Our meetings are free and open to the public. We begin with a 30-minute silent meditation followed by our guest speaker’s talk and group sharing. We conclude with a five-minute silent meditation If you are new and would like basic instruction in meditation, please arrive early at 6:15 pm.
