We have an online business, that is growing. We manufacture our own products, but have considered drop shipping, and watched other sellers on one venue only ebay; although we sell several ways. What we notice is that the seller is typically at the mercy of the dropshipper as far as out of stocks, and shipping time. Feedback is so important on ebay, and that is one way for it to get ruined quickly. So, my advice would be to make sure he has a good system w/ communication to avoid out of stocks and late ships. Also, sometimes, the market is saturated on ebay w/ particular types of products from wholesalers or dropshippers---do the research.
He might consider buying and reselling, from overstock.com, or liquidations.com.
