Fact or Fiction - Mike Stange Retires? [confirmed]

I've heard that Mike Stange has stepped down from his high ranking position with Intrawest. Can anyone confirm or refute this? And if so, any word on why? (For those who didn't know, Mike Stange is also one of the fire commissioners)

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort announced the retirement of Mike Stange as president and chief operating officer.
In related news, Intrawest ULC, Sandestin's parent company, named John Russell to the position of senior vice president of operations. In this position, Russell will be responsible for all aspects of Sandestin's resort operations and will serve as regional vice president of Intrawest Hospitality Management for the Marriott Courtyard and Marriott Residence Inn, both located at Sandestin, as well as Cottage Rental Agency in Seaside, Florida.
