Very pretty, but I just have to look out the window and we have to clean 3 acres of those pretty leaves
My favorite time of the year besides late Spring and summer.

Well, we have around an acre, maybe a little more. But we never clean up those leaves. I would have to leave that many leaves Mango. Wouldn't even think about getting up those leaves. We chop ours up year to year with the riding mower. Fall colors are the best though!

I love fall here in NE....The leaves will start to turn in a couple of weeks ( I hope). We are getting close to cranberry harvest time on Cape Cod. It is really beautiful when the leaves turn gold and the cranberry bogs are flooded and the red berries float to the top of the water. We won't be in full color here on Cape Cod until mid October. There will be a lot of leaf peepers about. Such a beautiful time of the year in this part of the country.......

Half of my property is wooded, but you clean the leaves with the rider mower and the next day it looks like you didn't so anything.:dunno:
Then there are those trees that hang on for a while and just when you think you got the all the ones on the lawn and in the landscaping, voila, like magic they drop and right where you don't want them.:nono1:

Yep, you are about 2-3 weeks earlier than me when the leaves peak. We peak around Halloweenie. Never went that far North during Autumn, but the bogs must be a beautiful sight.
I had some friends visit from England during Fall, and they said it was one of the most beautiful sights they had ever experienced. They just loved Indian corn and had it shipped back to England for gifts.

We do a big ole pumpkin patch in our yard with scarecrows, mums, corn stalks, and cute little Halloween signs. We are in the center of our village and tourists come into the yard and take pictures of themselves in our pumpkin patch. The first year we did it, we were kinda shocked but now it is fun to see people get such a kick out of it....then all those leaves fall.............

Sounds really lovely. Ever get any pumpkins that look like this?
Oh, BTW- since you are a newbie, fun is spelled funn around here. I won't tell anyone though. ;-)

JPreus, sure hope you will take some pictures of the leaves changing up there and post them on here. Would love to see some pics of your pumpkin patch with the scarecrows, mums and corn stalks. And speaking of corn stalks, at the agricenter here every year they have a haunted corn maze that takes about an hour and a half to find your way through. The commercial on the radio advertising it sounds really creepy. Last year 17 people went in but never came out, no telling what is lurking in there to get you, if you run, you better make sure you don't fall down! I am a big kid! Would love to go through that. New England is one place my husband and I would love to visit sometime just to see the fall leaves. I would love to see Cape Cod and Boston. Would be a long drive but maybe someday!
