Hi, anyone recommend a family type neighborhood on the south side of the bay-- south walton area? Currently live in Hammock Bay which is great, but due to work and other issues may need to relocate to other side of the bay. Looking for a neighborhood with permanent residents and not a lot of transients/people coming and going. We have 2 young kids at Butler. Not looking to buy, but rent. Thanks, and happy new year!

The homes might be smaller than you're used to, but you really can't beat the location of Flamingo Village if you're got kids at Butler, and I think rentals there pop up every so often.

Flamingo Village on the west end of 30A has lots of families and is close to Butler.

Blue Mountain Beach
Rental

Flamingo Village is great for families. I saw one house for rent there but to big for me. That was a while ago, but things come up everyday. Also Blue Mountain Beach has resdential neighborhoods around the fish named streets, especially close to Flounder. Smaller houses, but nice area and bus stop on the corner for kids in school.

I really like our quiet neighborhood and it is across from Butler (Beachview Heights) Its quiet the lots are very large for sowal (100 by 180) and in a good location for lots of things. People in the neighborhood keep to themselves but are respectful. Take a drive through and see what you think.
