I'm the Short Sale Guru & in my spare time I like to fish Hogtown Bayou on Caoctawhatchee Bay. Last weekend I landed 3-Bull Reds that were 35-pounds & 40+ inches long. Since they were over the limit I returned them to the Bay. Also landed 2-Sail Cats between 5 -> 10 pounds, had 1 for dinner. Going to try for smaller reds tomorrow morning !

What do you catch your bulls on?

How'd that sail cat work out. I thought they weren't edible unless you fried the heck out of them. I've tried for reds in the larger bay, but have only had luck past the bridge on the East end.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Really?!? I just threw several back last weekend because a guy told me they weren't worth fertilizing a garden with. They are so easy to catch. We were in kayaks maybe 100 yards from shore. Threw out a thumbnail size piece of shrimp on a #6 hook and wait maybe a minute til the line started peeling off. We actually ran out of shrimp. It was lots of fun.

Got a recipe to share? I'll try most anything once.
Thanks

I know plenty of people who think Mullet worthless, but they are very tasty to me. I don't pay much attention to what other people say.
