Fishing license

Hi everyone,

We're visiting the area this August and love to fish. Do we need to purchase a fishing license to fish from the beach? I've read several different things---one article said we only need a license if we're going to fish from a boat---another said that only Florida residents do not need a license to shore fish----and another said that you need a license to do any kind of fishing at all. Just wondering if anyone knows about the rules for shore fishing.

Non-Residents, 16-yrs of age and older, do need a license for any type of fishing in Florida, including from the shore. Florida offers non-residents a 3-Day License for $17.50, 7-Day for $30.50, and an annual for $47.50.
