From Walton County Emergency Management

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Emergency Management would like to encourage residents of Walton County who have experienced personal property damage due to the July 2013 flooding to report their loss to us. Emergency Management is compiling statistics to report to the State of Florida and FEMA. You can report damage to your property by calling the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at 850-892-8065 and ask for Al Ford, Emergency Management Coordinator.

Residents who feel they may qualify for the FEMA Individual Assistance Program are encouraged to click on the following link at http://www.fema.gov/individual-assistance-program-tools, to learn more about this program.

Emergency Management also wants to encourage business owners who have incurred losses due to the July 2013 Flooding in Northwest Florida to complete a Business Damage Assessment Survey Form that can be accessed and electronically submitted by clicking this link: http://flmyb.com/datacol_direct.cfm. The results of the survey will be beneficial in helping to determine the full economic impact of the flooding and in assisting the state to acquire additional resources for affected businesses and communities.

Additional information about floording damage and assistance can be found HERE.
