We live in the South and no matter how gorgeous the fall weather, or how inviting the silky sand on the beach, on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon everything revolves around football. Here's our latest SoWal List for great places to catch your favorite team. Don't forget to wear your colors and represent on gameday.

Local Catch
Imagine walking into a bar on any college campus and that’s the feeling you get walking into Blue Mountain Beach’s newest gem - Local Catch. College and pro fans come here to watch the big game on eight big screens and enjoy grub like Shrimp & Grits and Grouper Po Boys. The wide selection of beer on tap is ice cold. Local Catch’s enthusiastic football crowd and laid back atmosphere makes it the next best thing to winning a national championship. 3711 West County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach - 850-622-2022

Fire at Gulf Place

Fire has a fantastic Saturday football menu with perfect game day eats. Munch on the Fish Tacos, the Peach-Chipotle BBQ Chicken Tenders or some Szechuan Lettuce Wraps, and wash it down with one of their famous Bloody Marys or a cold beer. The bar area boasts an 81” projection screen and flat-screen monitors so you have a great view to cheer your team to victory. 7 Town Center Loop, Gulf Place, 850-231-9020

Great Southern Café

Nestled in picturesque Seaside, there may not be a better place than Great Southern to watch football and appreciate the beautiful scenery. Pair the Grits a Ya-Ya, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon Burger or the Fried Green Tomatoes, along with one of their delicious cocktails for a great game day experience. The cozy bar area provides two flat screen TVs and a relaxed atmosphere that will make any southern gentleman or southern belle feel at home. 83 Central Square, Seaside, 231-7327

Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill

What personifies a game day in SoWal more than a dozen raw oysters and draft beer? On the weekends, cheering fans watch games at the inside bar or enjoy fabulous fall weather on the outside patio. With daily specials like baked and raw oysters, jambalaya, seafood chowder and the coldest beer in town, Hurricane’s in Grayton Beach is sure to please even the biggest football fanatic. 37 Logan Lane Suite 4 in Mystic Porte, Grayton Beach, 850-231-0787

723 Whiskey Bravo

Located in Seagrove Beach, 723 Whiskey Bravo has an amazing rooftop bar that is perfect for watching your favorite team and admiring the incredible view of the Gulf. Cozy up by one of the fire pits on chilly SoWal nights and enjoy some great food and drinks. With 20 TVs throughout the restaurant it’s almost impossible not to get excited about game days at 723 Whiskey Bravo. 3031 Scenic 30A, Seagrove Beach, 850-213-0015

Shades Bar and Grill

Shade’s is notorious for being a go-to place for football. They have eleven televisions plus a projector and all of the premium sports packages for college and professional football. Offering over 35 beers on tap, a wide selection of liquors and daily food specials, Shade’s makes every fan feel like a winner. Take a seat at the bar or at an oversized booth and get ready for a game day full of fun. 10952 Scenic 30A, Inlet Beach, 850-231-9410

Marina Bar and Grill

Take in a game and enjoy the view of the Baytowne Marina while you eat, drink, and relax with friends. Marina Bar and Grill has college football on Saturday and NFL games on Sunday. Come check out the giant projector screen! The menu features a Bayou Bounty- a basket of breaded shrimp, calamari, crab cake & beer battered fish. Other favorites include flatbread pizzas, ½ lb Angus Burger, Fresh Grouper Wraps and Tacos and daily chalkboard specials. Plus "You catch 'em, we cook'em” service. Baytowne Marina, Miramar Beach - 850-267-7778.

My favorite place is THE MARIGNY.

Last week there were over two hundred foodies enjoying the best of Louisiana creole food while cheering on the New Orleans Saints to game one victory while watching seven big screen TVs.

Chris and Jason have out did themselves this time.

What could be better, friends and family enjoying great food and drink.
