The Blue Giraffe will host a FREE art show and reception for the Mobile-based singer/songwriter and folk artist, Abe Partridge, on Saturday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Partridge, who is performing at the prestigious 30A Songwriters Festival, will perform 3 short sets at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m and 2:30 p.m. This event is free and open to patrons of all ages. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information call 850-231-5112 or visit bluegiraffe30a.com.

Partridge is one of the most respected songwriters in Mobile; he has gained national and international attention for his second full-length recording, Cotton Fields and Blood For Days. It has received rave reviews including a lengthy feature on AL.com.

Partridge is also gaining recognition for his folk art, which are primarily acrylic paintings on tar board and linocut/ink piece which he premiered at his CD release show in February of 2018. Since then Abe has sold dozens of paintings, which are now hanging in galleries and becoming highly collectible. He was also commissioned by Haint Blue for a huge mural that is proudly displayed in their new brewery and is also utilized on their glassware.

Scenic Highway 30A will be a buzz with musicians Jan. 18th - 20th as stellar stages and intimate rooms along our string of postcard-perfect towns & communities host 30A Songwriters Festival. Be sure to check the SoWal.com Music Calendar for popular bars and venues hosting LOCAL live music artists where NO WRISTBAND is required.
