Freeport - Present and Future

Curious as to everyone's thoughts on what they think Freeport will become in the next few decades. My thoughts are...I believe there will be substantial growth in terms of restaurants and shopping, along with improved schools (or more school choices). Having lived here for a year, it's amazing how quickly my family can hop in the car and hit the South Walton beaches without having paid an insane amount for a similar house closer to the beach.

Freeport is the new boomtown. Sadly it will be one long generic American franchise parade on both sides of 331 from the bay to the interstate. Behind that will be tens of thousands of homes filled with permanent NoBay SoWal "tourists".
