Meet the Artist: Andy Saczynski

Andy Saczynski Studio Gallery
Andy Saczynski is a local artist and has lived in Florida since the age of 7. After graduating from Niceville High School in 1995, he briefly attended a local college on a fine arts scholarship, where he won several awards. While his time spent in a classroom was beneficial, most of his talent has been developed through independent study.
Andy’s work can be classified as outsider or folk art. He primarily works with acrylic, wood, metal, copper, and recycled musical instruments. As Andy likes to say, he turns junk into funk! He finds his artistic inspiration through music and in Florida’s architecture, landscape, and wildlife. Andy just won 2012 Best Local Artist from Emerald Coast Magazine!

Dannica Lowery at 7pm
Dannica Lowery is the real deal folks. Her music is built on enchanting guitar, subtle bass, lyrics that actually mean something, and a gentle modulation that draws you in. She possess an amazing tone that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. She is a combination of some of the greats! The writing ability of Joan Baez, the soul of Carole King, the sultry sound of Melody Gardot, and the strength of Janis herself. But there is something different. She is old school and modern all at once. Lowery bridges the gap that has existed in the singer songwriter community for too long. Her self entitled album “Dannica Lowery” is available on iTunes.

The Canes at 9 pm
A band from Chicago that appears to be an anomaly, here to remind us why we all fell in love with music in the first place [Anomaly: Something that deviates away from what is standard, normal, or expected]. All four members of the four-man band have brought a wide variety of influences to the stage and have together developed a sound that intermingles, what seemed to be, juxtaposing musical ideas. With compelling live experiences that are littered with references of U2, The Killers, Mutemath, and Coldplay, it's understandable why The Canes have appealed to such a large demographic and why, in the first year of the band's existence, their fan base has grown exponentially.
