Does anyone know of a place near Seagrove Beach that will pick up used furniture? We just received a phone call that the new living room set we ordered is in and ready for delivery. We're looking for someone to pick up and dispose of the old set, hopefully around the same time frame. We'd like to get this all coordinated before we drive down from St. Louis. The old set is in okay shape, but worn. The owner of the store where we ordered the furniture (in Pensacola) said he thought there might be some goodwill stores or missions that might be interested. If there are none, is there someone in the area who will haul and dispose of large items?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Goodwill Industries is located in Santa Rosa Beach, right along Highway 98. Sorry, but I do not have a phone number other than the one on the receipt which is in Tallahassee (850) 574-4422.

Thrift Store of Grace, on 98 right by 393 will pick up used furniture. Give them a call in advance and they'll schedule a pick-up (at least they did a year ago...assume they still will!). Good luck!

Better yet, if it is in good shape, place it by the side of the road with a sign statin "Free," and it will be gone within two hours guarateed.

With my luck it'll start raining right after we put it out and it'll only be useful to ducks! :rotfl:

Thanks a bunch to all for the info! I'll make some phone calls this morning to the places you've suggested. If all else fails, I always have SJ's idea to fall back on :D
