Hello Sowal and Shorty’s Surfside Friends

As we approach another spring season and anniversary here at Shorty’s we wish to thank you all for making it possible. As we enter our 3rd season in business, we are excited to introduce Jeremy Anderson as our new chef. Jeremy brings many years of experience to our kitchen and staff having worked in such fine establishments as Destin Chops, Marina Café and Crush. Jeremy will bring some new additions to our menu as well as offering his touches to our great menu items that have made us famous.

While we no longer have a full Sushi bar, we will still feature several rolls on our menu and offer nightly sushi specials. It is with honor to announce that our former Sushi Chef, Jamison is venturing out to start her own endeavor, “The Buddah Lounge” opening this spring. Good luck Jamison.

Of course we will still feature our great musical lineup this spring and summer that we have become know for. You will still see nightly acts such as Billy Garrett, Howlin Jack, Zack Roscika, Donnie Sundal, the Steenos, as well as many, many other talented musicians perform while sipping on a nice cold beverage, eating great food, or simply relaxing while taking in the breathtaking views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

From all of us at Shorty’s Surfside, we wish to thank you for your past support and look forward to another great season. It is a pleasure serving you all.

In good food & times

Henry

Love me some Shorty's!! Hard to believe it's been three years since you let me park in front during construction. Will see you soon, I hope.

Hi! Thanks bunches! We are open now! Come on by! You can find our menu and hours here: www.shortyssurfside.com

Henry - we are looking forward to getting back to Shorty's this year; we have not been since 2010. I have a question about the menu, which I just looked at thanks to the link you posted. It states that you are serving "gulf shrimp." Is that a never-frozen, locally sourced product? If a frozen product (which most shrimp is, after all), is it free of sodium tripolyphosphate? Thank you.
