Gifts for nieces

I have two nieces that I am wanting to get a christmas gift for and am clueless what to get them. They are 10 and 13 and active in playing softball and soccer. But they have everything where sports are concerned as I bought them sports related gifts last year. The 13 year old is more of a tomboy than the 10 year old. Would appreciate any suggestions. when our nieces and nephews got to be that age, i started giving them money so they could choose their own stuff. they are on mr audie's side and we only see them on holidays, and had no idea what to get them.

My 12 year old wants $$ and gift cards. Itunes cards are grayt also. They seem to like picking out their own stuff now. I live with her and still can't do it!!

One does have an Ipod. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I do not see them but once a year. All the suggestions are very good ones.

Can't go wrong wrong with Itunes cards - my 13 year old loves them - and gift cards - I took her and her friends shopping on her birthday and gave the girls personalized Amex cards ("the" party favor) to shop with. They loved them and felt all grown up with their names on them.
