I have a girls Trek Mountain Bike - Mountain Track 220.

It is used, but in excellent condition and I'm offering it FREE to someone who is in need of a good bike.

3 years old, kept indoors. 21 speed shifting gears, 24" rims. Powder Blue.

It is a great bike, but my daughter outgrew it.

Please PM me if interested.

CCK,
Thanks but I think little IBD is too little... Sounds like a great deal for someone......

Childrens Bikes...

If the bike is for a child, they generally fall into age categories based on the average size of a child of a specific age. There is no hard and fast rule that says that you must buy a bike of a particular size for a child of a specific age. If the child is comfortable and not too stretched on the bike, and they can manage all the controls ie turn the handlebars safely, reach the brake levers and operate them AND touch the floor with the ball of their foot, then there is nothing to prevent you from selecting a bike in a bigger age category.

Steeleling3 was in need of a bike not long ago. I'll ask her to check in with you if she still needs one. That is a great example of not having to wait for a special occasion like Christmas to give.

Cancel all of that. I just googled the bike and see that it is more suited for girls ages 6-12.
