Good Morning South Walton,

In keeping with the Memorial Day Holiday, we just wanted to take time to thank all of our service men and women for their courage, patience, and just plain hard work. This includes our Military, Police, and Firefighters. We feel very blessed to have wonderful people protecting us. In return, we offer a discount on any work that they need done. There is no expiration (just our small way of saying thank you).
We also wanted to thank Suzanne Preston for the lovely article she wrote about us in the Walton Sun. Many thanks Suzanne.
We hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend and don't forget to show your appreciation to those who serve. That's what this time is all about.

Thanks for doing this for the military and others; I think you need to go on the Making a Difference Post.

When my son was deployed, it was so difficult for my daughter in law to manage everything. Some of the others in his squadron helped her with chores my son normally does. They all watch out for each other that way.

After awhile, though, all the squadron was deployed, and that made it even more difficult. Thankfully, there are some in the communities such as yourselves who helped out. Our military families go through a lot--and often it is the one left behind who copes alone; this makes the stress even more difficult for the one deployed because of the worry about home. It is an endless cycle of distress.
Too many "civilians" do not realize just what these men and women sacrifice for our country. I believe that is beginning to change...

Glad to do our part

Hi Goodwitch,

Our prayers go out to those who serve and as you pointed out, those left behind that take the burdens alone. God bless them all.
