Hi, I will be vacationing for a week by myself down in Santa Rosa June 14-20, and I needed some advice on where to hang out and meet locals and make new friends. I had planned the trip with my boyfriend, but we broke up, and I still want my vacation! So, alas, I will be alone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Drop by the RedBar in Grayton. Eat, drink, and be merry. Get a mani-pedi done in Watercoler or Gulf Place. Fonville Press in Alys beach has a trivia night coming up, maybe that would be a funn place to meet people. No matter what you do, pamper yourself and enjoy. Have a great vacation.

Cheering's suggestion of the Red Bar was great because you can eat and drink there in a funky atmosphere. Check out some of the places at the Baytowne Wharf. There always seems to be a party going on over there.
I've been to sowal countless times by myself over the years. Its was fun for me. I found sowal while staying in Destin on a solo trip way back in 82.
